Hello again folks, here I am to serve up the usual Wednesday 20 for your viewing pleasure.
Apologies for missing this past weekend's round!
Anyway, let's go!
First up today, a Kenworth T880.
A tired ol' White/GMC WCA64T. Note that the original grille has been lost at some point and a "replacement" bolted to the hood - looks vaguely like the grille off of an International 9400 or similar.
Also, pretty unusual to see a WCA(/WIA) with Dayton wheels, particularly on the front.
The paint scheme, green body with red bumper, reminds me of a fleet that I think ran these ... with maybe a white and black logo/decal? Can't quite put my finger on it.
Boy howdy, is this thing a trip...
A Freightliner FS65 that started out as a school bus (obviously) and now works hauling the Golden Leaf, tobacco. Tobacco is and has been a huge part of North Carolina's agricultural scene for, well, centuries, really.
A Volvo VNR for UFP Transportation, who are headquartered in Union City, Georgia or Granger, Indiana - couldn't nail down which. Been a tough few weeks trying to ID companies - they all seem to muddy their info.
Also, UFP corporate is located in Michigan, and have facilities of various capacities/capabilities scattered around the US, with this truck being for the transport division (I guess?), but I've noticed that each facility apparently has a free rein when is comes to truck specs - I've seen Volvos, KWs, Petes, Sterlings, and Fords of various configurations.
A fairly nice Mack Vision for Carolina Stockyard from Staley, North Carolina.
A Kenworth T800 for Pittman & Pittman Trucking from Tarboro, NC.
An interesting Kenworth T370.
A Freightliner FLD120.
And another FLD120, this one for D&S Transport from Bunn, NC.
Some nice pine logs there.
A Freightliner Century.
What a beauty ... or not.
A nice Western Star 4700 for Northstate Trucking from Jacksonville, NC.
A sharp Peterbilt 567.
A nice Mack Pinnacle for Service Building Supply (SBS), who are headquartered in Sanford, NC.
A Kenworth W900L.
A Mack Pinnacle for McGill Compost, whose headquarters are in New Hill, NC.
A Peterbilt 379.
A Sterling A9500.
A sharp Kenworth W900L.
And another sharp W900L.
This one almost got by me, but I caught it just in time.
And wrapping up this batch, a little Freightliner Cascadia for NB Handy, who're headquartered in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Thanks for looking!
The White/GMC was maybe a Wilson truck. Not my photo.
Nice catches but that bus contraption is award winning
