Hope everyone's had a great Memorial Day weekend, and has a great upcoming week!
I'll preface this post with a little news that caught my eye last week: Heartland Express has purchased Smith Transport. Smith has a very nice fleet of mostly Peterbilts, but I have to wonder if the Heartland takeover will result in the extinction of another sharp and distinctive fleet...
Anyway, back to the regularly scheduled program!
First, a cool ol' Ford F600.
That's a big stump.
A Western Star 4900.
Another WS 4900.
A sharp Sutphen Monarch for the Burlington, NC Fire Department.
An International 8100 for CCBCC Operations, who're headquartered in Charlotte, NC.
A Freightliner Condor.
Believe this one's been sitting awhile, and won't be moving anytime soon.
A Mack Granite for Republic Services, whose headquarters are in Phoenix, Arizona.
A sharp Kenworth W900L.
What I'm pretty sure is an Oshkosh HET A1.
HET = Heavy Equipment Transport.
I don't usually like obstructed shots, but you don't get the opportunity to photograph one of these awesome beasts very often.
A nice Peterbilt 386 for Guy M. Turner, who're headquartered in Greensboro, NC.
A nice Chevrolet C7500.
The floating axle is unusual for this series of Chevy.
A cool Volvo VNL or VNR for Lily Transportation, whose headquarters are in Needham, Massachusetts.
A little Peterbilt 330 for Coca-Cola Consolidated, whose headquarters are in Charlotte, NC.
A cool Peterbilt 379 for One Call Towing, Recovery & Road Service from Tappahannock, Virginia.
A Peterbilt 389 for Puryear Tank Lines, who're headquartered in Wilmington, NC.
A beefy International Workstar.
A really cool Peterbilt 389 for Burfords Construction, who're headquartered in Lincoln, Alabama.
Nice big CAT there, too.
A Freightliner Classic and a nice Ford F-450.
A nice Kenworth W900L.
And lastly, a Freightliner FLD120.
Thanks for looking!
I have never seen one of those Oshkosh HET out and about before - great catch thanks for sharing
