Another new addition to the fleet, and one that is unique...
Showcased today we have W-12, a 2022 Ford F-550 Super Cab, 6.7 Diesel, 4x4.
12's equipped (at the time of photographing) with a Knapheide service bed.
It'll be equipped with a heavy duty air compressor, heavy duty jumpstarting/battery charging system, worklights, warning strobes and beacons, and full complement of tools and parts necessary for a heavy duty service truck. Also a custom fabricated canopy to cover and protect the compressor and jumpstarter/charger.
It'll also receive our red and black paint scheme, along with white reflective lettering and striping.
Edit - we're also getting aluminum wheels to replace the current gray steel ones.
Now, I mentioned this one is unique, and here are several reasons why:
It's the first new service truck I've been involved personally with purchasing (I've bought several used, but 12's the first new).
It's a 4x4, something we've never bought for the fleet before, but a something I think will be beneficial.
It's the biggest service truck we have on 2 levels - we've only had F-250 and F-350 chassis before, and it's the largest/longest service bed we've had.
It's equipped with a backup camera, which is a handy feature.
Those are the big new features, but of course there are many smaller ones that are new to our service truck fleet as well.
And without further ado, here's some photos!
As I mentioned about it being the longest bed, our other service trucks only have 1 box between the cab and rear axle, whereas 12, as shown here, has 2.
Thanks for looking, and have a great weekend!
That’s one nice service truck
