As has become typical, here is 20 catches for this Wednesday.
First out today, a Freightliner Cascadia for Midland Transport, whose headquarters are in Dieppe, New Brunswick.
I always enjoy catching Midland rigs - I don't see many, and the unique color and the billboard trailers are always nice to see.
A nice Freightliner Coronado.
A typically clean and nice Kenworth T680 for Gemini Motor Transport, who are headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
I may have mentioned it before, but the skirts and lift axle are both unusual features for a tanker.
A nice Mack Anthem for Bulkmatic, whose HQ are in Griffith, Indiana.
A spiffy International LT for Gulf Relay, who are headquartered in Clinton, Mississippi.
Believe this is the first time I've caught this fleet - nice looking rig, with neat graphics/decals.
A Peterbilt 389.
Dueling Freightliner Cascadias - a new style one for Old Dominion Freight Line, who're headquartered in Thomasville, NC (Thomasville also hosts a railcam from Virtual Railfan), and an "old" style one for TForce Freight, whose HQ are in Richmond, Virginia*.
TForce is what was at one time UPS Freight (which was Overnite before that), and through convoluted sells, mergers, and rebrandings which ended with UPS giving up their UPS Freight side and selling it to Transforce out of Canada. So TForce is essentially Transforce's US extension. Transforce, from what I understand, is considered something of a juggernaught in Canada, devouring many companies there under various monikers. I am not a fan of a US based company, especially large ones, selling out some or all of their assets to foreign companies (looking at you Kansas City Southern)...
A nice Mack Anthem for Zenith Global Logistics, who are headquartered in Conover, NC.
This fleet is a unique one for me - nice looking rigs, and I see them reasonably often, but can't quite get a really good shot of one, for whatever reasons.
A clean Peterbilt 379.
A nice Kenworth T600.
An interesting International 9900 towing a Freightliner Columbia.
A sharp Peterbilt 389.
Nice trailer and load, too.
A Kenworth W900L Icon 900 for Cundiff Trucking from Wirtz, Virginia.
A typically clean Freightliner Cascadia for J.L. Rothrock Trucking, whose HQ are in Greensboro, NC.
A spiffy Peterbilt 579 for Heniff Transportation, who're headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois.
A Kenworth W900L.
A nifty little Freightliner Century.
I'm not a particular fan of the Century class, but this one with the single axle, little sleeper, and full skirts is pretty unique.
Always like catching rigs from bridges - a Volvo VNL in this particular shot.
A Kenworth T880 for Ultimate CNG, whose HQ are in Oakton, Virginia.
From what I understand, among other things, they specialize in mobile CNG vehicle refueling units - so what looks like a short container here (and probably started life as one) is really one of those refueling units. Pretty ingenious idea, and apparently a successful one - hit up their website for more info if you have a chance.
And for our final rig, a nice Kenworth T660 for Estes, who are headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
Thanks so much for looking, have a fantastic rest of the week, and God bless.
Interesting pack of catches - really enjoyed the Mack’s
