On a very rainy and cold day here at TPF HQ, seems like a prime time for a 5 pack of trains...
First up today, an EMD SD40-3 for Norfolk Southern, who're headquartered in Atlanta, GA.
NS 6436 was built for the Southern as SOU 3236 in September of 1973, and was a high-hood SD40-2 set up to run long hood forward. NS rebuilt it at their Juniata Shops in Altoona, PA in April of 2024. The rebuild included a new NS designed "Admiral" cab and short hood, electrical upgrades, and other updates.

NS likes rebuilding older locomotives, and all three in today's post are rebuilds.
This one is NS 1808, an EMD SD70ACC. It was originally built as NS 2510 in November of 1993 as an SD70, and was rebuilt by NS in January 2019. The rebuild included a new safety cab, electrical upgrades, and conversion from DC to AC traction.

A GE rebuild this time - NS 4621, an AC44C6M.
Originally built in March of 2000 as NS 9423, a C40-9W, it would be upgraded to a C44-9W (4,000 to 4,400 hp) at some point, then rebuilt by Wabtec in Fort Worth, TX in November of 2022 to the current configuration.

Breaking away from NS, here's the "City of Greensboro", RNCX 1810, an EMD F59PH originally built for GO Transit as GOT 529 in November of 1988. It's now working for the NCDOT's commuter service, which is headquartered in Raleigh, NC.

And lastly, AMTK 33, a GE P42DC built in December of 1996 for Amtrak, who are, of course, headquartered in Washington, D.C.
Hate to see these replaced by the Siemens ALC-42s...

That's all for today - as always, thanks for looking!
Nice variety of catches
