I'm back with 5 more train shots, mostly NS, with an NCDOT thrown in.
First, we have Norfolk Southern NS 1121, an EMD SD70ACe, which was built in February of 2014.
NS is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
Next, we have another EMD, this one a F59PH. It started life in November of 1988 as GOT (Government of Ontario Transit) 529, then moved on to the NCDOT as RNCX 1810, the "City of Greensboro". I caught it in Greensboro, coincidentally.
Also, the NCDOT is headquartered in our capital, Raleigh, NC.
A GE AC44C6M, specifically NS 4329. These AC44C6M locos are rebuilds of older GE units, but the rebuilds are so recent that history on the units is sometimes not well documented, such as what the loco was built as, when and for who.
Another AC44C6M, NS 4051. It was built in January of 1995 as NS 8777, a C40-9, and NS rebuilt it in September of 2017.
And another AC44C6M (I'm quickly getting tired of these), this one NS 4020. A history similar to the one above, this one was built as a C40-9 in February of 1995 as NS 8818, and was rebuilt by GE at their Ft. Worth, Texas facility in April of 2017. GE's Ft. Worth facility does a lot of these DC-to-AC conversions/rebuilds, for several different roads.
That's it for today, thanks for looking!
