Here's another round of closed/abandoned buildings.
First off, a closed/abandoned Harris Teeter and accompanying shopping strip.
Near as I can tell, this strip was built sometime prior to 1999, and after '82.
I'm not 100% sure, but it's been closed since at least 2007, and may have been closed as early as 2002.
As you can see, it still looks pretty decent, for being closed for possibly going on 20 years. It could've been used as something else after HT, but I've seen no evidence of that.
Somebody is obviously keeping it, and the strip at large, in reasonably nice condition, probably in hopes of being able to lease or sell it at some point.
Here's a look at a closed restaurant in the strip.
Judging by the Pepsi and Sierra Mist logos, it was closed prior to 2016.
And a view of the rest of the strip. I think the last 2 spots are occupied by, closest to the camera, second to end, a restaurant, and at the end a dry cleaners. Empty otherwise.
And one we just happened across, the Mock, Judson, Voehringer Company Hosiery Mill. Founded in 1926, and defunct in 1972. Not really visible here, but quite a bit of construction going on on the other side, presumably with the plans of making apartments. Hopefully.
That's it for this round, thanks for looking!
Too cool!!! Thanks for sharing
