The detail work is really impressive, and the weathering job is top notch.
A single axle spring suspension cabover - bet that rode rough!
Byrd seems like a pretty common name in central NC - I know/have known several folks with that last name, and of course there was Byrd Food Stores.
Byrd Motor Line was right off of what is now business 85 or 285 (back then it was 85) one exit north of where Glossons was. I think it was the Green Needles exit.
