I’m speechless! That is VERY cool. Did you have to build the head-rack or did it come with trailer? Truck and trailer are nice but glad you did the extra work and loaded it with cars.

The one that comes with the trailer is short, it is meant to go on a Ford LT9000, so this one utilizes ramps from another trailer used for parts and the rest is scratch-built

Here we have a 2015 Western Star 4900 flat top auto carrier, it started out as this, the flat top bunk comes from the 4900SBA version and the cab hood from the 4900FX

It is a modified Jacobs Models 4900, rounding of the front end to create a newer version with a custom built head rack

along with a stock Walthers auto transport trailer, just added some Dennia Aust lo-pro 2-hole wheels and tires replacing the stock ones. The colour is 19666 Ford truck Caribbean Turquoise with the stripe kit decal coming form Paul Kittle

all the vehicles are Mazda CX5s all painted in factory correct colours. They came in grey as seen on the head-rack of the previous photo. These were offered from Promotex back then as "modern SUV Crossover" which I determined to be most closely representing the CX5 Mazda.

Jim, you build some really awesome stuff, and such a small scale too! I used to mess with HO trains about 25 years ago, and I liked the trucks better than the trains. The problem now is between my shaking hands and vision that seems to be going south, there is no way that I could build anything like you've come up with. Great work on all!

This one is a 1976 White Freightliner WFC120, a modified resin casting from Paul Kittle

The chassis is a modified Athearn with many scratch built built items, A-Line fuel tanks with steps added, half fenders from sheet metal scribed corrugation wit knife, Masterbilt heat shields on the exhaust stacks, made form aluminum tube

the trailer is a Walther's 40' Trailmoble that I changed out the axle spacing to 9'

all paints are automotive base coat/clear coat applied with Molotow Ink Pen for most of the chrome, mirrors formed from staples

The paint does look like metal flake in this scale for sure, I mixed that colour years ago and since then have substituted fine aluminum toners in lieu of the original, on the actual truck, this would just have a nice metallic look!

jumping ahead a few years........right into current times, this 2020 Kenworth W990 is a resin casting form Dwayne Currie, it is mated to a highly modified Promotex trailer.

Alright.....we can make that happen, staying on the beer side of life, how about a 1970 IH DCF 400, the fore runner of the Transtar.

This is also a 1/87 scale modle from Sylvan Scakle Models, reworked from a shot hood version with authentic Labatts tm gold

and one more look at the rear for good measure

This is one of the trucks that started my love affair with big rigs really, they, along with the Molson's, would go past our house, me being a about 8 or 9 then......and it still is a love!!
